Forensic Heroes

just finished watching Forensic Heroes that has 25 episodes in total. this series is not too bad as the cases are basically quite interesting. FH actually gave me another point of view on how crimes are solved. i used to think that police officers that have good detective skills & logical thinking are the key personnel in solving crimes. however, in FH, the policemen were shown as an inferior side when compared to the forensic department! it now seems obvious that the police can do nothing without evidences that are gathered & analyzed by the forensic department.

the cast is considered ok but not that appealing to me.

• Bobby Au Yong is a senior chemist & heads the Forensic Science Dept. its his usual character of a witty, smart & knowledgeable man. yes, he seems more plump in FH & is kinda haggard. but any girls will easily fall for him as his character has the charm as a wiseguy.
  
• Frankie Lam is a pathologist. his character should be the dream guy for every girl since he's handsome, rich, kind, intelligent...etc. however, i don't see him as that great & to me, bobby's character has more influence & impact than his.
• Yoyo Mung is the senior inspector in FH. Her character is impulsive at times. The character is quite likeable but nothing spectacular.
• Linda Chung plays a junior chemist in the Forensic Science Dept. She's quite smart & outspoken.
  

the pairing is quite obvious with Bobby & Yoyo while Frankie is with Linda. Bobby's wife died early in the series. he & yoyo like each other but the relationship couldn't develop further as bobby still cannot overcome his wife's departure. of course they got together at the end of the series. frankie had a brief courtship with yoyo early on but it ended soon as they have too many differences. frankie ended up with linda, but i find it rather amusing as their age gap is quite big & yet they look fine together!

seeing that almost all of yoyo's cases are solved with the help of bobby & frankie, both guys should qualify as successful policemen should they wanna change fields! the cases didn't drag & are usually solved within 2-3 episodes. nevertheless, some cases are illogical with flaws.

Overall, FH deserves the high ratings that it has garnered. This once again proves that a good series can be without exceptional casts as long as the plot is of quality. i now have to spend some time to write a more detailed review!
